Adventist Health Clear Lake is helping ensure children throughout Lake County have access to high-quality pediatric care close to home, with pediatricians Brittany Cole, MD, in Lakeport and Shichang Hao, MD, in Clearlake serving families on both sides of Clear Lake.
Brittany Cole, MD, is seeing patients at Adventist Health’s Lakeport clinic, while Shichang Hao, MD, is welcoming patients at the organization’s Clearlake clinic. Together, they provide comprehensive pediatric care for children from infancy through adolescence, helping improve access to specialized healthcare services for families throughout the region.

Dr. Brittany Cole, MD — Serving Families in Lakeport
Dr. Cole is passionate about helping infants, children, and teens live healthier lives through preventive care, wellness visits, and evidence-based treatment. She enjoys partnering with families as they navigate the many milestones and challenges of childhood and adolescence.
“Regular pediatric visits help lay the foundation for lifelong health,” said Dr. Cole. “I enjoy building relationships with families and supporting children as they grow and thrive.”
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Cole earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. She combines evidence-based medicine with a compassionate, family-centered approach, helping children and teens navigate every stage of growth and development. Dr. Cole considers it an honor to partner with families as they make important healthcare decisions and work toward lifelong wellness for their children. Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Dr. Shichang Hao, MD — Serving Families in Clearlake
Dr. Hao is dedicated to caring for children from infancy through adolescence and supporting families through every stage of development. He provides comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child checkups, immunizations, preventive services, and treatment for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including asthma, ear infections, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and urinary tract infections.
“I love seeing the resilience and joy in children, even during illness, and knowing that my care can make a lasting difference in their health,” said Dr. Hao.
Born and raised in China, Dr. Hao is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. He combines clinical excellence with empathy and treats each child as a whole person with dignity and worth. Guided by a deep commitment to serving others, he strives to support families through both everyday healthcare needs and life’s more challenging moments. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking and painting.
