September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage open conversations about mental health, and remind those who may be struggling that support is available.

Adventist Health is bringing “Chalk the Walk, Have the Talk” to Clearlake, inviting employees, patients, and community members to come together to raise awareness about suicide prevention, learn about available resources, and share visible messages of hope and encouragement.

Community members are invited to participate:

Adventist Health Clear Lake Hospital
Wednesday, September 30 | 12 – 1:30 p.m.
15630 18th Avenue, Clearlake Hospital Front Entrance

The event will create an opportunity for the community to come together around suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and hope. Attendees will learn about suicide prevention and available resources in Lake County before walking the hospital grounds and using colorful chalk to leave messages of hope, encouragement, and support along the sidewalks.

The messages will remain after the event, offering reminders to patients, employees, visitors, and others passing by that they are valued, their lives matter, and support is available.

No artistic ability is needed, just a willingness to share an encouraging message. Chalk will be provided.
