It takes Courage
to remain soft in a world where we are faced with hard realities.
Yet softness is critical to staying aloft.
We find Hope again and again,
and use it as our North Star when things are difficult.
It takes Courage
to get up each day, and look for the good
finding Gratitude because there are always things to be grateful for.
Sometimes we have to look hard, especially now
to see beyond the smoke,
and hold each other up
so no one is left behind.
It takes Courage
to be Kind.
When we lead from a place of kindness,
we find compassion and empathy
follow hand in hand.
We understand that to be human
is to struggle,
then overcome again and again.
It takes Courage
to be still
because that’s the best we can do.
May we draw on Courage to unite us
now more than ever,
and trust that we are stronger and more resilient than we know.
