Every day, wholesome, edible food can go unsold even though it’s still safe and nutritious.
Through California’s SB 1383 edible food recovery program, that food can be redirected to help feed our community instead of going to waste.
The Clear Lake Gleaners partners with participating City of Lakeport grocery stores to recover and distribute approximately 15,000 pounds of edible food EVERY month to families throughout Lake County. Every pound of food recovered helps reduce waste while providing nutritious food to neighbors who need it.
