This group advertises itself as an “inclusive singing group,” so people who cannot sing are encouraged to join. In other words, if you enjoy singing, but you or others consider your singing off-key, this is the group for you. Those who are experienced or skilled at singing as also welcome!
They have had 5 rehearsals so far, and they will have two more before they start performing. Since their repertoire consists of only a handful of familiar holiday carols, it is fine to join the group now.
The purposes of the Community Caroling Group are to have fun and to bring some joy to others. Their target audience is Meals on Wheels recipients, and they plan to go to their homes and sing at lunchtime during the weeks of December 12 and 19. They will also perform at Christmas in Middletown on Saturday, Dec. 10, and at the Middletown Senior Center Christmas luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 22.
If you are interested in joining, come to one of their two remaining rehearsals.
Middletown Community Carolers Rehearsals: Wed., Nov. 30, and Wed. Dec. 7, 1-2 PM. In the Middletown Community Room between the Senior Center and the Library.
