 He holds his child’s hand
 as they walk through
 a light drizzle of rain
 smiling, talking, both pointing out
 heart-catching observations.
 Expanding her awareness of life,
 he bestows upon his daughter
 the gift of experience,
 the gift of language,
 the gift of love.
 Walking in the rain
 a father . . . a daughter
 a life duet
 witnessing the world
 together.
