The Rotary Club of Clear Lake invites community members to attend its August meetings and enjoy a month of informative presentations from local and regional leaders in education, community services, and end-of-life care.
The Rotary Club of Clear Lake meets on the first, third, and fourth Tuesdays of each month at Highlands Bar and Grill in Clear Lake. Meetings begin promptly at 12:00 noon, and visitors and prospective members are always welcome.
The August speaker schedule includes:
Tuesday, August 4
Kori Ebenhack, Dean of Woodland Community College, will provide an update on the college’s programs, educational opportunities, and its role in serving students throughout the region.
Tuesday, August 18
Karen Karnatz of Mourning Space will present “The Rise of the Death Doula,” exploring the growing role of death doulas in providing compassionate guidance and support to individuals and families during the end-of-life journey.
Tuesday, August 25
Nichole Wells, Executive Director of SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area), will discuss the organization’s work in supporting students with special needs and the collaborative efforts that help ensure educational success throughout the community.
The Rotary Club of Clear Lake is dedicated to making a positive difference in the community through service projects, scholarships, youth programs, and partnerships with local organizations. Guided by Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” the club welcomes guests who are interested in learning more about Rotary and becoming involved in serving Lake County.
