22nd Annual ukiaHaiku Festival at the Ukiah Civic Center

The 22nd Annual ukiaHaiku Festival will return to the Ukiah Civic Center on Sunday, April 28 from 2-4 p.m. As we return to a traditional contest format, we invite the community to celebrate the wonder and capacity of haiku through Ukiah’s palindrome with readings and live music. Prizes will be awarded for ten categories, from Kindergarten through 12th grades and adults, including the International Jane Reichhold Award. Winners are invited to attend the ukiaHaiku Festival to read their haiku. 

Ukiah Branch Library to Host Poetry Open Mic Events

Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in person on the third Saturday of each month at 3 p.m. This free event is open to both teens & adults – all are invited to share poems in any form or style, or just listen to others.

ART WALK UKIAH Marco Donner: Colors of Kindness Paintings in Oil

The Ukiah Branch Library staff invites the community to join us for Art Walk Ukiah on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 5–7 p.m. Come and enjoy the colorful, joyous, and sometimes silly world of artist Marco Donner. The Branch will host elegant cello accompaniment by Clovice Lewis. There will be an in-person hands-on creative arts program. Enjoy a book sale by the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library as you browse the Art Walk. This exhibit is free to the public, open to all ages, and sponsored by the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library and Mendocino County Library.
