The Lake County Chamber of Commerce Announces the Winners of the 2024 Lakeport Memorial Day Parade

The Memorial Day parade, co-sponsored by the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and the Ladies of the Lake (Kelly Anderegg, Maureen Braiser, Suzie Rinker, Shannon Tyson, Camille Miller, Barbara Breunig, Lorna Higdon, and Amber Sheridan), was a tremendous success, bringing hundreds to Main Street in Lakeport on May 25th.

With 25 entries in the parade, the judges had the challenging task of determining the first, second, and third-place winners in each category. Awards were decided based on how the entries displayed the parade’s theme, “We don’t know them all, but we owe them all,” and general presentation.

In the Floats division, “Some Gave it All” by People Services won first place, “WineFest” by the Lake County Symphony won second place, and “Home of the Free because of the Brave” by Operation Tango Mike won third place.

In the Vehicles division, “Pickle the Rock Crawler” by Kyle and Cindy Reams won first place, Gary’s Cabinets & Prehung Doors won second place, and Ron Lamariana won third place.

In the Junior division, Clear Lake High School Marching Band won first place and Lake County Young Farmers and Ranchers won second place.

In the Equestrian division, Lonne Sloan & Flicka won first place and Allie Dawn Tyrrell won second place.

Prize winners may pick up their ribbons at the Lake County Chamber of Commerce office (875 Lakeport Blvd., Lakeport) between 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Thanks to everyone who made this incredible Lakeport tradition come to life this year!
