THE MIDDLETOWN MERCURY HAS BEEN REBORN AS THE BLOOM

This past summer the Middletown Mercury quietly closed its doors. But from the end of the Mercury came something new: The Lake County Bloom. Revised and expanded, The Bloom is a new way to look at our county. We are committed to creating a place where residents of Lake County can get to know each other. You see, we aren’t writing this paper for people who live in Mendocino or Napa or Sonoma or Yolo. It’s for you: the people of Lake County. Our county has always has gotten the tail end of everything. But not any more. The Bloom will showcase the best of who we are.

In it you will find local artists, local writers and poets, local musicians and local podcasts. But that’s just the beginning. There is an outdoor section with hikes, trails, and an updated lake report. There is a food and wine section covering local restaurants and wineries. In the N columns section you will discover profiles of the unique people who live here, and learn about the history of our county.

Also, we have a calendar that covers music and events throughout the county. We’re still growing and working, but this will be one place you need to look to find out what’s happening in Lake County.

So swing by The Bloom’s website at lakecountybloom.com and get to know Lake County a bit better.
