As we enter the final gasp of 2024, one can’t help but be a bit reflective. For me, there is only one word that comes to mind when I look back on the past year; that word is love. I traversed a divorce where the love in a marriage is now turned into friendship. But love remains. I have been embraced by the love of strangers who are now my friends. I have even been teased with the offering of romance from would-be lovers. But the greatest gift of love I have experienced is me falling in love with me. I have fallen deeply in love with my heart, my smile, my form, my sense of adventure, and the fullness of life I see and experience. I love how I laugh and see the world. I love me! And from that love that I have received from others and for myself, I will carry with me into the new year with hope, expectancy, and rebirth. I hope that, in some way or form, you have experienced love so that no matter where this holiday season lands on your life journey, you are filled with joy, my friend.
This week, we are continuing our annual tradition of reading “A Child’s Christmas in Wales.” Then, we will pause for just a minute from our usual publications and enjoy another lovely holiday read from our very own Lori Armstrong. Then, be sure to read the final Kelseyville Pear Festival Poem, the Music Guide, and some very good news before wrapping it up with some local history. Happy Holidays, my friends!
